About Joe McKune

Joe is a 1993 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, with a Bachelor of Science degree, and a 1988 graduate of DeSales High School.

Joe began his insurance career in 1993 with Monumental Life Insurance. In 2012 he joined Nelson Insurance as a property/casual insurance agent.

Joe is a past president of Greater Louisville Association of Life Underwriters and has been a sales leader in the insurance industry for many years.

Joe has established a specific expertise in insurance and risk management for daycares. The commercial insurance program Joe has developed for daycares was designed specifically for site based facilities and includes coverage’s unique for that industry. Joe also has enjoyed great success insuring franchises of all kinds, particularly fast food restaurant franchises. In addition to commercial insurance, Joe also handles personal lines and life insurance for many of his clients.

In the community Joe has volunteered his time with Special Olympics, Knights of Columbus and St. Albert the Great Catholic Church. Joe also is a charter member of Metro Louisville Networking, established in 2003.

Joe and his wife, Liz, were married in 1993, and have two daughters, Maggie born in 1998, and Katie born in 2002. Joe’s hobbies include golf and watching football, volleyball, and football. Joe is also very involved with his family and watching his daughters play volleyball and basketball.
